Moving to a new purpose-built facility is child’s play for Waterfront Nurseries as they relocated summer 2006! The Nursery presently provide high quality childcare at Edinburgh’s Telford College and moved with the College from its Crewe Toll location to a brand new complex, located at the heart of Granton’s Waterfront Development Project. Built over two floors, the new Nursery provides a safe and secure environment for children aged three months to five years. The extensive facility comprises of two baby rooms, two toddler rooms, two ante pre-school and two pre-school rooms as well as an impressive outdoor play area. Nursery Manager Julie Pettit said: “Being involved in the planning of the new Nursery has been an exciting and challenging experience. It is really rewarding to see the new building being used by both existing and new parents and children.” Parent Calum Stark’s two-year old son has been attending the Nursery for the past year and a half. Calum explained: “We chose Waterfront Nurseries because of the qualified and experienced staff. They are caring and professional and you get lots of feedback on your child’s progress.” The Nursery’s dedicated staff are able to care for up to 135 children, from 8am to 6pm, for fifty weeks of the year. It all adds up to greater flexibility and accessibility for parents, with extremely competitive private childcare rates available.
