Belhaven Hill School in East Lothian is hosting the largest ever Senior Schools Fair in Scotland on Saturday 18th of May (11.30 am – 2.15 pm). Families from Scotland and the North of England are invited to come to Belhaven Hill School in Dunbar to meet representatives from 30 prestigious day and boarding, independent secondary schools from across the UK.

The event offers an opportunity for any parents who may be considering sending their children to one of the UK’s leading schools to meet them all in one place in East Lothian. The schools are based across the UK, from the very north of Scotland and Edinburgh down to the south coast of England.

“We hope that our event will provide an informative introduction to secondary school life for all families, whether or not currently in independent education,” says Olly Langton, Headmaster of Belhaven.

“Parents from both state and private primary schools are all invited to this free event. Each school will have its own stand, manned by heads, deputy heads, registrars and admissions, in the sports hall.

“There will also be a chance to take part in a debate on the controversial role of smartphones in schools by putting questions to an academic panel of four senior school representatives alongside Wendy Griffiths, CEO of Independent Schools Examining Board (ISEB), and Ian Yorston, an EdTech Advisor to the ISC.”

Participating Scottish schools include Edinburgh Academy, Fettes College, St George’s, Loretto, Merchiston Castle, Glenalmond College, St Leonard’s, Strathallan and Gordonstoun. The visiting English schools include Oundle, Radley, Rugby, Downe House, Tudor Hall, St Mary’s Calne, Stowe, Sherborne Girls, Shrewsbury, Uppingham, Harrow and Eton College, amongst others.

Belhaven is renowned for sending its pupils to the best senior schools in Scotland and England. As one of the few remaining stand-alone Scottish prep schools, Belhaven offers its pupils a broad choice of senior schools both north and south of the border; day and boarding; co-ed and single sex.
