Merchiston Castle School Hosts Open Morning for Forest School

Merchiston Castle School is hosting an Open Morning for its co-educational Forest pre-school (aged 3-5) and Forest Junior School (P1-P3) on Saturday 16 September.

Taking place in the beautiful Merchiston Castle School grounds, guests will be treated to breakfast with The Forest’s headteacher, Davina Bowers, followed by a tour of the woodland campus to find out more about this unique approach to early-years learning.

The Forest at Merchiston promises an idyllic start to education where child-led learning fosters curiosity, discovery, independence and play. Guided by expert facilitators and underpinned by the very best educational methodology, The Forest will deliver an unparalleled learning experience for children in Edinburgh.

Davina Bowers, Head of The Forest, said of the event:

““Our Open Morning is the ideal opportunity for parents and their children to discover The Forest Nursery and Junior School. Here they can ask me any questions they may have, take a walk with me through the grounds and really get a sense of our ethos, mission, and values. “I’m looking forward to showing families what makes The Forest so special, and how our unique nature-inspired approach to early years education will support their child to flourish and thrive.”

The Open Morning and breakfast will run from 8:30am to 10:00am on Saturday 16 September.
