In their beautiful indoor/outdoor setting in leafy Murrayfield, this caring and highly experienced team focuses on unlocking every child’s natural curiosity in the world around them and developing responsible global citizens. Using the acclaimed Montessori Method, children are guided at their own pace using a holistic approach to learning which aims to support the development of the whole child and recognises the importance of all aspects of development: physical, social, emotional, and cognitive.
The Montessori teachers plan individually for each child based on their abilities and interests and provide opportunities for children to advance with topics that inspire them, as well as work collaboratively in their peaceful classroom and surrounding grounds.
Abstract concepts are taught using beautiful, tangible Montessori materials which support depth of understanding and greater self-confidence. Spanish is spoken and available to each child daily, and additional opportunities to supplement their Montessori journey, including cooking, drama, music and movement, nature club, and sustainable art in the outdoors, are available in the afternoons.
Self-directed learning in a multi-age setting not only encourages individual intellectual and emotional growth but also prepares the child to head out into the world with respect, positive decision-making skills, and inner belief.

New Montessori Primary School in Edinburgh!
Offering a Montessori education for children aged 6–12, the Montessori Primary School opened in March 2023 as a welcome addition to the thriving nursery community and in response to demand from families wishing to extend their children’s Montessori experiences into the primary years.
