A Tide of Talent

For over a quarter of a century, SwimEasy Ltd has served as a deep-rooted and vital pillar of the Scottish aquatic community. The company’s relationship with Scottish Swimming as a long-term affiliate, beginning in 1998, is a powerful testament to a shared, two-decade commitment to developing the sport. Crucially, as the leading independent provider of swimming lessons in Scotland; with a major presence in Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Falkirk.  SwimEasy takes important guidance from Scottish Swimming regarding policy, standards, and safeguarding. This ensures the highest level of trust and responsibility in their operations.

Since establishing its progressive program in 1998 and graduating their first swimmer to Warrender Baths Club in 2002, the market leader has successfully graduated thousands of swimmers who have become Scottish Swimming members since. While the company’s primary focus remains on the safety and wellness of children, the strong technical foundation provided has consistently propelled many alumni into the demanding world of competitive swimming. This elite group includes celebrated names such as Lewis Smith, Craig McNally, and Camilla Hattersley (to name just a few).

Speaking to the importance of the National Governing Body (NGB), Gail Smith, Managing Director of SwimEasy, stated:

“Our relationship with Scottish Swimming is truly invaluable. Since the beginning, our governing body has consistently supported not just our company, but my entire family’s involvement in the sport. We owe them immense thanks for helping to create a stable, professional environment. It has been a privilege to watch SwimEasy grow alongside what can only be described as the golden era of Scottish Swimming.”

This era, commencing around 2006, has been the most successful in history, defined by extraordinary achievements at multiple Commonwealth and Olympic Games. The success is personified by stars such as Hannah Miley, a two-time Commonwealth Champion and three-time Olympian, and Duncan Scott, Scotland’s most decorated Olympic athlete.

Investing in Excellence: Sponsoring Scotland's Stars

SwimEasy’s dedication to elite sport extends beyond its teaching lanes through its active sponsorship of current and future stars. The company has proudly backed talents such as Archie Goodburn and Katie Shanahan (also an Olympic competitor).

Currently, SwimEasy sponsors exciting prospects Suzie McNair and Dean Fearn. Fearn, in particular, has delivered outstanding international performances, winning a gold medal in the Men's 50m Butterfly at the European Junior Championships and successfully upgrading that title to gold at the World Junior Swimming Championships, in addition to securing multiple relay medals at both major events in 2025.

The Ultimate Pathway: A Legacy of Giving Back

Perhaps the most compelling evidence of SwimEasy's lasting impact is the powerful pathway of service it has cultivated. Since 1998, thousands of the company's graduates have not just competed; they have returned to the sport as coaches and teachers, working both within the company and at aquatic facilities across the globe.

It is this commitment to not just developing swimmers, but also creating high-quality jobs in swimming, that defines SwimEasy’s long-term vision. The company is dedicated to the safety, confidence, and employment prospects of its community, ensuring the continuity of the sport and its workforce for decades to come.

SwimEasy's story is one of enduring partnership, institutional market leadership, proven elite success, and a vast, dedicated community giving back to the sport that shaped them.
