You are warmly invited to attend the annual Dollar Academy Open Day on Saturday, 5 September 2026, from 10am–1pm.

Recently voted 'Top Private School in Europe 2025–26' by Education Insider, Dollar Academy is a multi-award-winning school, located at the foot of the beautiful Ochil Hills in Central Scotland. The Care Inspectorate has described the standard of care as 'sector-leading' – this is a successful school filled with happy and very active children.

With over two centuries spent serving the educational needs of its pupils, Dollar has created an environment where young minds can thrive. With A grade pass rates averaging 70%, Dollar has an excellent reputation amongst the UK's top universities, and students have also left in recent years to attend Harvard, Stanford, NYU, Berkeley and Columbia. Dollar offers the widest range of academic subjects in the country, with 37 subjects to choose from in the final years.

This exceptional academic provision is complemented by over 120 co-curricular activities, including a sector-leading Golf Programme delivered with Gleneagles at their PGA National Academy. The school also has an established reputation for rugby, hockey, cricket, tennis, football, athletics, basketball and horse riding, and passionately encourages participation at every level. A Triathlon Programme is the latest sports offering – led by one of the UK's leading long-distance triathletes, the programme makes the most of the beautiful landscape surrounding the school.

Music and Art are also very popular, with 14 different choirs and orchestras, a World Championship-winning Pipe Band and a superb art department with sector-leading fine art, photography, ceramics and fashion design provision. The Combined Cadet Force is one of the largest in the country, consistently winning national military skills, shooting and first aid competitions, and hundreds of pupils take part in the Duke of Edinburgh's Award programme each year.

The Open Morning provides a wonderful opportunity to visit Dollar, meet staff and pupils, and experience the warm, welcoming community that makes the school so special.

During the morning, visitors will be able to tour the beautiful campus set at the foot of the Ochil Hills, visit classrooms and specialist facilities, meet teachers, learn more about the wide range of academic and co-curricular activities, and talk with current pupils about life at Dollar Academy.
