What is the Dragon Song School

Dragon Song School is a creative literacy and storytelling program designed for children at Early Level learning. It combines imaginative play, improvisation, performance and story-telling to support key experiences and outcomes in Literacy, English, as well as Expressive Arts.

What to Expect

Dragon Song School offers bespoke workshops designed for children in Preschool, Primary 1 and Primary 2. The programme supports the Curriculum for Excellent modules: Literature and Creative Play, Workshop and Improvised Storytelling and Reflection. Within these modules, key elements of puppetry, song and narrative are integrated into the activities, to ensure the children are receiving a well rounded and engaging curriculum. 

Each workshop is run by an early-years practitioner and performer with extensive experience working with early years.

Who are Dragon Song Productions?

Dragon Song Productions is an interactive theatre company, specialising in productions for babies and children under six years. 

The company has developed three live touring productions; Moon Dragon (2019), Sea Dragon (2022) and Ice Dragon (2024)  which all feature handcrafted puppets and original songs. Additionally, the company has published two children's books; Kipper the Sea Dragon (2023) and Bertie the Moon Dragon (2024), illustrated by award winning artist, Eilidh Muldoon. 

This year, Dragon Song Productions has launched their educational offering, Dragon Song School.
