Edinburgh Academy Welcomes Experienced Cricket Director

John Blain brings two decades of international and first-class expertise to the school.

The Edinburgh Academy announced the appointment of John Blain as its new Director of Cricket.

Blain's extensive background includes over two decades in international and first-class cricket as both a player and coach. An ECB Level 4 coach, he most recently served at Grange Cricket Club, where he mentored players of all ages.

His experience uniquely blends elite cricket coaching with work in special educational needs, offering a combination of technical skill and empathetic understanding. Blain expressed his enthusiasm for inspiring young cricketers and contributing to the Academy's cricket program.
