How long have you been at the school?

I spent my first 19 years at Stewart’s Melville College and I moved to ESMS Junior School six years ago.

How many years have you held a head teachers post?

I have been Head of ESMS Junior School for six years. Prior to this I was Head of Upper School at Stewart’s Melville College.

What are the particular strengths of your school?

Inspiring teachers who treat every child as an individual and an unrivalled range of opportunities which enables children to develop their own unique interests and skills and have them celebrated under one roof.

What is your vision for this school?

To continue to be a trailblazer whilst staying true to our core values. However the school evolves, our goal will always be to produce multi-talented young people, primed with modest confidence.

How do you equip a child for life in the 21st century?

Making theoretical learning link with practical outputs. Digital learning and individual devices to be intrinsic to daily lessons whilst ensuring traditional skills remain. Balance is key. Help children find their place and feel good about themselves.
