With You Every Step of the Way, writes Stepping Stones Swimming founder Ewan Kennedy.
Swimming is one of the most valuable life skills a child can learn. It builds confidence, independence and resilience, helping children grow not just in the water but in everyday life.
At Stepping Stones Swimming we believe every child deserves the opportunity to become a confident swimmer. Our lessons are carefully designed to guide swimmers through each stage of development in a safe, supportive and encouraging environment. With small class sizes and teachers working directly in the water, children receive the attention and reassurance they need to progress at their own pace.
Our structured programme is led by experienced instructors and supported by weekly lesson focuses, ensuring every class builds on the last. Teachers receive regular guidance and programme updates, while parents can follow their child’s journey through our online portal with progress updates and milestones throughout the year.
Our bespoke awards programme celebrates every achievement along the way. Swimmers work towards colourful medals and stage milestones that are unique to Stepping Stones. These collectable awards mark the progress children make as they develop their skills and confidence in the water.
In the past year we have also expanded our support for swimmers through individual lessons. Introduced last year, these sessions have quickly grown in popularity and provide additional opportunities for swimmers who benefit from extra guidance or personalised attention.
Stepping Stones Swimming is proudly affiliated with Scottish Swimming and we work closely with clubs across Scotland to support swimmers as they progress through the learn to swim pathway. For those who wish to continue their journey into competitive swimming, we are building strong partnerships that help create clear routes from first lessons through to club training.
From first splash to confident swimmer, we are proud to support thousands of children every week as they develop skills that will last a lifetime.
