Where do pupils go after leaving Dollar Academy?
Dollar is recognised as a leading independent school and has a very strong reputation among top universities. Typically, over 60% of leavers go on to study at Russell Group and Ivy League institutions. The school offers the widest range of academic subjects in Scotland, and pupils consistently achieve some of the best results in the country.
What extracurricular activities are on offer at Dollar Academy?
This outstanding academic provision is complemented by over 120 co-curricular activities. Dollar is one of Scotland’s leading rugby and hockey-playing schools and has a growing reputation for cricket, tennis, horse riding, and football, as well as a world-class Golf Academy at Gleneagles. Music and Art are also very popular, with 14 choirs and orchestras, a World Championship-winning Pipe Band, and a superb art department with sector-leading fine art, photography, ceramics, and fashion design provision. The Combined Cadet Force is one of the largest in the country, consistently winning national military skills, shooting and first aid competitions, and hundreds of pupils take part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award programme each year.

How many pupils board at Dollar Academy?
Boarding has always been an important part of school life. 110 boys and girls live in four small family-style boarding houses, located on Dollar’s stunning 70-acre campus at the foot of the Ochil Hills. Tutors help with homework, and excellent social, sport and leisure facilities are available.
