WILDHOOD is Scotland’s multi-award-winning children’s festival — a magical weekend-long outdoor adventure created especially for families with children aged 12 and under.
Set within the beautiful grounds of Tullibole Castle near Kinross, WILDHOOD combines music, theatre, storytelling, circus, arts & crafts, nature play and immersive hands-on experiences in a relaxed and welcoming family environment.
Designed to encourage creativity, imagination, adventure and open-ended play, children can spend the weekend flying through circus workshops, dancing in the woods, building rockets, creating giant artworks, discovering interactive theatre, meeting roaming characters, listening to magical storytelling, getting gloriously messy, learning new skills and exploring a world created entirely with families in mind.
One of the things families love most about WILDHOOD is that it’s completely all-inclusive. Once through the gates, every activity, workshop and performance included in the programme is free to take part in, creating a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere where children can fully immerse themselves in the experience without parents constantly reaching for tokens or extra payments.
With more than 90 activities, workshops and experiences across the weekend, many families now return year after year, making WILDHOOD their official start to summer, building annual traditions and reconnecting with festival friends along the way.
This year’s theme is Out of this World, with space-inspired creativity, adventure and imagination woven throughout the weekend programme.
Families can visit for the day or stay for the whole weekend in WILDHOOD’s pop-up camping village, turning the festival into a mini summer adventure in the heart of Scotland.
WILDHOOD has been featured by The Times, BBC Radio Scotland and National Geographic Traveller, and has won multiple national tourism and event awards for its unique family-focused experience.
The festival takes place from Friday 5th - Sunday 7th June 2026 at Tullibole Castle, Perthshire.
