A School Woodland Trail set in 47 Acres of Private Woodland

Clifton Hall School proudly introduces its new Woodland Trail

Clifton Hall School Child Woodland Trail

Clifton Hall School in November announced the opening of a brand-new adventure space within its beautiful 47 acres of private woodland. Designed to ignite curiosity, creativity, and a passion for the outdoors, the Woodland Trail provides pupils with a safe and imaginative space to explore nature. Students can climb, balance, discover wildlife, and learn through play within the school grounds.

This unique outdoor resource offers hands-on learning, wellbeing benefits, and endless exploration opportunities for all students, from nursery to seniors.

This month Clifton Hall School is delighted to announce that it has been awarded the Gold Award in the Woodland Trust’s Green Tree Schools Award programme! This award recognises schools that go above and beyond in connecting children with nature and championing sustainability.

To achieve Gold, pupils took part in activities such as:

‱ 🌳 Tree planting

‱ đŸŒČ Woodland exploration

‱ ♻ Sustainability projects

‱ 🎹 Creative work inspired by the natural world

Green Tree School

Across the school, pupils have embraced outdoor learning with enthusiasm — from the Nursery’s wonderful woodland adventures to exciting Early Years experiences.

The J4 pupils have been working toward their Scottish Junior Forester Award, and J5 have been busy discovering the magic of the school’s 47 acres of woodland too!

The school is incredibly proud of this achievement and of the teamwork that made it possible.
