Founded in 1923, Belhaven Hill School is one of Scotland’s leading co-ed day and boarding Prep schools for 5–13 year olds. Its 20 acres of parkland campus is idyllic and inspiring, overlooking the wide sandy beach of Belhaven Bay in Dunbar. 
 
New Headmaster Olly Langton believes strongly in choice and a highly individual approach to education: boarding or day; scholarship or Common Entrance; entry to the senior school most suited to the abilities and interests of your child. A varied and modern curriculum sees a fascinating blend of high-level academic preparation, progressive and challenging Outdoor Education, and a physical approach to Computer Science that focuses on problem solving. Support for Learning is outstanding, with a dedicated team and one-to-one support. The new Pre-Prep, opened in April 2022, will extend the opportunities of a Belhaven education to 5–7 year olds.
 
At Belhaven, mistakes are encouraged, failure supported and successes celebrated. An inclusive approach to Sport, Music, Art and Drama and activities such as surfing, riding, skiing, golfing, piping and reeling ensure a balanced, rich curriculum on every full and happy day.
