Weekly Music Classes at St Mary’s Music School

Is your child between the ages of 4 and 12? Do they show an interest in music? If so, Friday or Saturday music classes may be the key to unlocking a real love of music and music making.

This academic year classes are being held online. This means parents can benefit from a real understanding of what their children are learning. After attending a class, they are then able to integrate new songs and games at home.

The teachers at St Mary’s are all highly qualified, experienced musicians. They create a fun, informal setting in which every child is given a voice.

You are welcome to try a class free of charge. That way you will see how enjoyable musicmaking can be.

“I always get that warm feeling when I wake up on a Saturday — like yeah! It’s Saturday Music Classes today!”

Here’s what the parents have to say:

“Children learn a lot through play and that’s very much the model at St Mary’s Music School. The pre-school classes, for example, are so much fun and it’s just amazing how much children take away from them — the movement and the songs — because it doesn’t feel like learning.”

“I just wanted to say how much Felix adores Catherine and her class, even on Zoom. I hope more people realise that it’s still possible to gain a lot of joy and fun learning from Zoom classes, with the right teacher.”

“My daughter has been very engaged and sings all her songs during the week as well between classes. I think the class is doing wonders for her self-esteem.”

“Aidan thoroughly enjoyed the class — he was singing for the rest of the day!”
